GTA Life Studio: Generative Video Workflow
An observable, retryable 16-stage workflow transforming stories, characters and photo inputs into video.

01 · Project overview
This was an extended AI training practice. I explored transforming a sentence, experience or photo into a game-mission-style short film, exposing scripts, storyboards, keyframes, video, sound and composition instead of making users wait for a black-box result.

02 · My responsibilities
- Independently designed and developed the Python orchestration engine, storage, composition and React workbench.
- Separated generation into observable stages with state, assets and execution logs.
- Handled long tasks, model failures, quality retries and constrained-runtime fallbacks.
03 · The 16-stage creation flow
- Narrative: story understanding, characters, world and screenplay.
- Visual planning: directing, visual Bible, storyboards, continuity and keyframes.
- Generation and checking: images, video, continuity quality and sound.
- Delivery: HUD, editing/composition and the final film.

04 · Architecture and engineering tradeoffs
A Python state machine advances stages through asynchronous tasks and polling. React shows stage assets while OSS stores per-project indexes, metadata and media. Multiple video routes and backoff handle generation failures; FFmpeg composes outputs, with sequential playback of segments when unavailable.
05 · Outcomes and boundaries
The report demonstrates a 25.2-second, 1080P, 30FPS output with 16 visible stages. Script, continuity and final-film checks are separate; a single sample score is not a general success rate. Unavailable music services are skipped, and constrained-runtime previews are not equivalent to completed composition.

06 · Reflection
This practice shifted my attention from model choice to control of the whole process. Observable state, persisted assets, retryable stages and clear fallback boundaries help users understand and complete creation more than a one-click button alone.
07 · Scope and source
This was a self-initiated or personally led practice during my Alibaba Cloud trainee period, supporting internal learning, collaboration or training rather than external client delivery. The account follows my project report dated October 10, 2026. Development and test figures describe that historical snapshot, not current production status. Screenshots come exclusively from my supplied folder; sensitive people and contact details are masked.
